Jeremiah 17:9
There is a misconception that our hearts can be broken, even shattered by emotional pain. Our heart is an organ which pumps blood through our body, not the fragile delicate symbol that comes to mind but a strong beating organ protected by a cage of rib bones. Our heart does not have feelings and when we associate heart, with the ability to make decisions what we really mean is mind. Our heart is the part of our mind driven by emotion, and swayed by feelings. The heart is deceitful, and cannot be trusted. What if following your heart were to lead you to destruction every time. feelings and emotions although often valid, are susceptible to vulnerability beyond out control, they tell us if we feel it, it must be true. It is time we learn that our feelings often have nothing in common with reality, and we must stand on the word of truth in oder to make good godly decisions.
